Here is a list of the cool games launched in January ... I don't really know if all of them are on the market allready:

  • Electroplankton (DS)
  • Wild Arms 4 (PS2)
Mega Man X Collection (GameCube, PS2)
    Castlevania Double Pack (GBA)
    Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Duel Academy (GBA)
  • Ape Escape 3 (PS2)
    Ape Escape Academy (PSP)
25 to Life (Xbox, PS2, PC)
MVP 06 NCAA Baseball (Xbox, PS2)
    Diner Dash (PC)
  • True Swing Golf (DS)
Torino 2006 – The Official Video Game of the XX Olympic Winter Games (Xbox, PS2, PC)
Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening Special Edition (PS2)
    Dungeon Lords Collector's Edition (PC)

And guess what? Even more cool games will come in February...and March.. and so on :)

Great Cool Game: Nintendogs

Yes, Nintendogs has to be a really cool game! Why ? Because there are 2 million copies of the Nintendogs title sold in Europe. This outsell US and Japan.

Only yesterday we heard how innovation is nowhere to be seen in the UK charts;
perhaps it's the chill of February rather than a general distaste for new
titles. Nintendogs was a chart favourite over Christmas; with its three
variants, and a huge female appeal, it's still going strong. The upcoming PSP
knock-off will help prove whether virtual pets are trendy again, or whether it's
just puppy love.

Thank for this cool game tip: 2 million European Nintendogs :)

Sims 2 Expansion Pack 3 : Open for Business

Do you think that Sims is a cool game? Well here are some good news then:

EA will release the third expansion pack for the widely popular Sims 2 game next Tuesday, February 28 entitled Sims 2 : Open for Business. From the official site:

"Now your Sims can create their own businesses. They can design their own
clothing boutique, beauty salon, florist, high-end electronics shop, bustling
restaurant chain, or virtually any other type of business."

You'll be in charge of managing employees, sales techniques, and the age-old dilema of selling a discount versus premium product. And remember, cash is king.

The Sims 2: Open for Business - just another cool game

Sports cool games

The MacWorld talks about the sports cool games that used to be launched.

Where are all the sports games? the editor asks:

Looking at the shelves of a console game store, a Mac gamer is immediately
struck by one huge difference from their own platform: There are a lot of sports
games available for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, and the like. So why aren’t there
more on the Mac?

And the fact is that the cool sports games are really, really expensive to license, especially if they’re team sports that feature well-known playing fields, teams, and athletes.
Here some more about the missing sports cool games for Mac users:
Mac gaming is a niche market—a blockbuster game is lucky to sell 50,000
copies on the Mac platform, compared to millions of copies on the console. That
gives Mac game publishers a much smaller pool of customers to work with, so they
have to pick and choose their licenses carefully.
